Quilted items for use in the kitchen, on table and counter tops, or across fireplace mantles.

Having studied interior design in college, this category of quilts is a natural for me. I love the beauty and warmth quilted accents add to a home. Quilts are not only for the bed or walls, they are also perfect for table tops and for any occasion. Those who wonder what graces my tables and side boards throughout the year can check out those that are in my “private collection”.

Walk About Coasters

4.5″ Square
“Walk-About” coasters can, of course, be used with “flat” bottomed glassware. Alternatively, the base of stemware can nestle inside the braided folds such that they “walk about” with the stemware catching any drips or spills.
I enjoy using these in a wide variety of fabrics for use throughout our home and seasonally throughout the year and I make them in a plethora of fabric combinations available for purchase in Berryville, VA’s Moose Apple Christmas Tree Farm Gift Shop and Sweet Pea’s Children’s Shop (from their Gifts for Mother’s section) .

This table topper was made just for fun because I simply love coverlets.

Love Collection

These are made using a favorite “stash” love fabric to which I added a collection of complementing fabrics. I cut all the fabrics up into 3.5″ squares and let the creativity flow arranging them, sewing them, re-cutting and re-sewing them into this precious pinwheel design. Purposing to use up all the squares, I created table toppers/wall hangings, mantle/table runners, coasters galore, and when I had about exhausted my supply, I created one special Love Around the World wall quilt (see below) using 169 1.5″squares left over from the re-cuts that formed the pinwheels in all the other finished love projects. Sorry to say I still have some of each of these fabrics left … it is frankly hard to use it all up when willing to work with smaller and smaller scraps.

I started with this ***Love Around the World*** 18″ square table topper.
