When I bought this “At the Beach Stamp” quilt pattern (by Zebra) I knew I had to create it for my Dad, with heartfelt thanks for a lifetime of memories made at Ocean Hideaway Unit 105 on 18th Street and the Boardwalk in Ocean City, MD. With this quilt, I keep those memories alive.
This was my first attempt at fused appliquéing itty bits of fabric and it was far more challenging than I could have ever imagined, but the result has the ability to transport me to the beach where sun, sand, shells, surf, sea breezes, and seafood wash all the cares of the world away.
