As I shopped in an antique store, I stumbled upon these 24 vintage pieced and embroidered blocks and vowed to give them new life. After finding similar black cotton velvet for a border, I began experimenting with various layouts resulting in Vintage Fans Reborn. I love how these fan blades seemingly snake around and around this pleasing quilt. (2009 – Artist’s Collection)
