Regrettably, I do not have photos of all my creative endeavors. In years past I have dabbled in embroidery, quilling, watercolor, pastels, oils and tole painting, sketching, stained glass, macrame, candlewick embroidery, smocking, and hooked rugs. Some reside in other homes and locations.
Others can be viewed on the “Other Creative Endeavors”, “For the Holidays” tab.
The following are in the artist’s private collection.
Apple Blossom Punch Needle Table Mat (6″ dia.)
Punched by Sue Hickman Berryville, VA completed 12/2018
A Trish Harriman Attic Heirloom pattern (#P119-2007)
Holiday Quilts Puzzle 12/2018
What does a quilt artist do when not creating quilts???
After Christmas, my husband and this quilt artist worked off and on over a few days to put this awesome puzzle together.
(Thank you Santa!)
It was the most challenging puzzle I’ve ever done, but lots of fun! We learned I see colors, while my husband sees patterns.
Of course, the quilts in this picture were completed first.
Sadly, it looks like a mouse took a bite out of our puzzle… it is missing a few pieces on the lower border. Se la vie…

To the House of a Friend Calligraphy & Paper Cutting (1985)
Other similar, yet original, pictures were given to the wives of each of the men serving in my husband’s Air Defense Company when we lived in West Germany.
Four Seasons Embroidered (16.5″ Sq.) 1982
These hung for many years in my homes around the world and then in my father’s home in Reston. At his passing they returned to me and represent what I love best about living in Virginia, having four distinct and beautiful seasons.
Ferns (Asparagus and Boston) Embroidered (7″ x 5″) 1979
First given to my father as a gift because he loved plants. His doctor’s thumb was “green” with plants as well. He could grow just about anything. At his passing they returned to reside with me.
Leaves Pen and Ink (4″ x 6.5″ and 3″ x 6″) 1974
Completed in a high school art class using real leaf “models”.
